INDIANA JONES 3D Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine
|
After months of rumors, it has finally been confirmed: LucasArts is soon releasing the brand new Indiana Jones 3D adventure game, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, for the PC. The exciting news was announced May '98 at E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Atlanta. It sounds like a pretty awesome game from what I've heard so far. It will star Indy and his old freind, Sophia Hapgood, from The Fate of Atlantis. Some rumors even suggest that Henry Jones Sr. will be making a guest appearance in the 3D adventure! The game's excellent graphics are closely related to those of the popular Tomb Raider game, pretty cool (Your computer will require a 3D accelerator). The game will also have Internet game play modes, maybe we could get an Indy game group going! Well that's all for now, we will continue updating you as new information surfaces. I can't wait until it comes out, it 's very exciting! You can check out the official press release to cue you in on the rest of the details. |

Fate of Atlantis
1939 - the eve of World War II. Nazi agents are about to get their hands on a weapon more dangerous than the atom bomb. Indy's mission is to locate the Lost City of Atlantis before the Nazis do and harness the energy of the Atlantean mineral, orichalcum. He must get there by way of Monte Carlo, Crete, and Iceland; by camel, hot air balloon, and submarine. On the way he manages to tangle with centuries-old deathtraps, find a copy of The Lost Dialogue of Plato, and steal a few kisses from his traveling companion, Sophia.
There are three paths that you can choose from that take the game in different directions and affect the way you will play it. The team path is more dialogue oriented; the wits path focuses more on puzzles; and the fists path has more action. Unlike most games that you only play once, after completing one Atlantis adventure you can take another path or try different dialogue options.
Need help finishing the Fate of Atlantis? Try the hints for the Fists Path the Team Path or the Wits Path. **Warning** Spoilers ahead!!! Don't read this if you want to do it yourself!
You can find this game at your local Computer Game Store, in LucasArts Archives #1 game pack, or in The Adventurer Magazine (to receive a FREE copy of The Adventurer, call 1-800-STARWARS). ATTENTION! The Adventurer is not maintaining business at this time.
